Applications include food & beverage (food preservative, a bactericidal and an antiseptic|pharmaceutical (serving as an important active metabolite of aspirin, key ingredient in topical anti-acne products, skincare products for the treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis, treat warts, psoriasis, acne, ringworm, dandruff, and ichthyosis) and personal care (skin lotions and treatments).
