Used in the synthetic resin, polymer and adhesives industries as a polymerization initiator, metal finishing as a polishing agent, in the paper industry as a treatment for sizing agents, pulping as a de-inker and for re-pulping wet-strength paper, textile industry as a de-sizing agent and dechlorination agent for after-treatment of bleached textiles, and in analytical chemistry as an oxidizing agent.
