Description

Paraffin comes in three forms; gas, liquid, or wax. Paraffin wax is a white, odorless, tasteless, waxy solid. It is insoluble in water but soluble in ether, benzene, and certain esters. Uses: Candle-making, in modified drywall, in the food industry as a coating or sealant, anti-caking agent, moisture repellent, and dust-binding coatings for fertilizers, in bullet lubrication, and as a component in wax for surfboards, skis, and snowboards.
