Description
Also known as dichloromethane, it is a colorless, volatile liquid with a moderately sweet aroma. It is not miscible with water but it will dissolve in most organic solvents. Uses: Solvent, paint stripper, degreaser, to decaffeinate coffee, to prepare extracts of hops and other flavorings, aerosol spray propellant, blowing agent for polyurethane foams, and in the chemical welding of certain plastics.
