DMEA is a clear, colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor. It is miscible in water, alcohols, ether, and aromatic solvents. Uses: In the preparation of water-reducible coating formulations, a raw material in making dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, and to control corrosion in boiler water condensate return lines.
