Is a colorless liquid with an almond-like odor at room temperature. It is the simplest representative of the aromatic aldehydes and is one of the most industrially used members of this family of compounds. Because of its almond-like odor it is the primary component in bitter almond oil extract. Uses: Component of bitter oil extract, and almond fragrances. CAS # 100-52-7
