Description
Hydrazine is a colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor. It is derived from the same process that manufactures ammonia though its physical properties are closer to those of water. It is highly toxic and dangerously unstable so it is usually handled as an aqueous solution. Uses: As a blowing agent in preparing polymer foams, a precursor to polymerization catalysts and pharmaceuticals, as rocket fuel and to prepare the gas precursors used in airbags. CAS# (302-01-2)
