Description
Furfuryl alcohol is colorless to amber colored liquid though it darkens when exposed to light. It has a faint burning odor and a bitter taste. It is soluble in cold water, diethyl ether, alcohol, benzene and chloroform and is insoluble in paraffin hydrocarbons. It is also incompatible with acids and is reactive with oxidizing agents. Uses: Flaboring agent and industrial chemical used in the manufacture of furan resins. CAS# (98-00-0)
