Description
EDTA is a chelating agent used to sequester di- and trivalent metal ions. EDTA binds to metals via four carboxylate and two amine groups. Uses: Industrial cleaning, detergents, photography, pulp and paper industry, textile industry, agrochemicals, hydroponics, preservative in food, a stabilizer in cosmetics, oil production, flue gas cleaning, in soft drinks, and in recycling to remove lead from lead acid batteries.
